2011 PhysicianXpress is the First Pediatric Only EHR System to Receive Complete EHR ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification.
Collegeville, PA • Doctor Office Management, Inc. announced today (12/23/2010) that their 2011 PhysicianXpress System is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a complete ambulatory EHR on December 21, 2010 by InfoGard Laboratories, an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ARRA, also commonly referred to as the Stimulus Act, should provide approximately $40 billion in funds with the goal to increase the use of Electronic Health Records by physicians and hospitals. The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria approved by HHS for eligible provider technology.
We believe, since the PhysicianXpress System is the first Pediatric-Only EHR to achieve ONC-ATCB certification, that this is evidence that Doctor Office Management, Inc. has successfully leveraged today’s technology via the PhysicianXpress system to ensure that our clients become eligible for the federal incentives. Within the industry and among providers, there has been much discussion about “meaningful use”. The definition of “meaningful use” was confirmed in the final rule defining the criteria for the EHR incentive program on July 13, 2010 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
The PhysicianXpress system is designed to minimize the technology burden required of a Pediatric Office (no need to invest and maintain servers). Our cloud-based technology only requires a browser to access the system. Most Pediatric providers find the PhysicianXpress system intuitive and easy to use. Enabling providers to qualify for ARRA reimbursement further increases the value of the PhysicianXpress system to a Pediatric Practice.
